Morocco has always been a very popular travel destination for Britons. The proximity to Europe, the affordable flights and accommodation and the beautiful weather makes Morocco a lovely choice for both a short getaway and a longer vacation.
Mohammed V International Airport (CMN) is Morocco's busiest airport. It is located in Nouasseur, a suburb of Casablanca. It is a hub for Morocco's national carrier, Royal Air Maroc. Direct flights from London are offered by Air Arabia Maroc, but if you need to fly from other British city, you'll need to make a stop along the way. A complete list of airlines serving Casablanca can be found here.
There are quite a lot of restaurants to choose from within the airport and you can even indulge in some shopping. A list of all the services available within the airport are available on this page. To get from the airport to Casablanca – located about 30 km away – there are several options including train, taxi and bus. Should you prefer to drive your own car, here is a list of the car rental agencies available at the airport.
A good alternative to Casablanca's airport is Marrakech-Menara Airport (RAK), an international airport which receives direct flights from London (easyJet, Ryanair, Thomsonfly and Royal Air Maroc). Ryanair also flies from Bristol, while Thomsonfly also offers a service from Manchester.
You probably won't be spending too much time in the airport before you go to the hotel, but if you happen to get hungry, there are some cafes within the airport. A list of all the services available within the airport can be found here. The airport is located only 6 km southwest of Marrakech and there are taxis to provide the link between the city center and the airport.
